Dear Parents, Players & Loyal Supporters:


For nearly 20 years the New Bedford Youth Soccer Association has been offering quality soccer programs to children of Greater New Bedford. Our mission began as, and continues to be: “teach each child to achieve his or her greatest potential, both on and off the soccer field”.

As we have grown we have been fortunate to have facilities extended to our membership, largely because of the help provided by the New Bedford School Committee and the Mayors Office. When one of these facilities, Andrea McCoy became unavailable, the loss of field space to run our programs forced us to reduce our membership. Realizing the importance of acquiring and maintaining our own fields became our goal to prevent any child from being refused membership.

Thanks to a lot of hard work, several years ago we acquired land in the North End of the City and ground has been broken towards the development of five soccer fields, a parking area and future headquarters of NBYSA.

We estimate our project will cost nearly $1.5 million dollars and like any major endeavor, we still have a long way to go, especially in the area of finances. Support from our membership, and the Business Community is critical and greatly needed for our project to be a success. You may be a business we patronize, an employer of a parent, a local club or a parent yourself who realizes the importance of supporting youth sports and believes in the desire to provide the children we serve and their families this enormous benefit.
